Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress popular for her work in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16years old, she had been offered a variety of television roles including the lead role in the movie Downfall Youth With No Youth Control. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the TV film that was made to air Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of the secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated films that feature the divas. Alexandra worked on several notable worldwide and national productions over her career. These include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon among others. The actress also served on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
